    Oliver Queen returns to Starling city after being deserted on a hellish island for five years. He decides to become a mask wearing vigilante to fulfil his father's wishes and rid the city of crime. In his journey to do so, he is forced to make tough decisions even as he makes new friends and even more enemies which continue question his lethal ways of controlling crime.

    At the end of Season 1, Starling city suffered a huge loss and so did Oliver Queen. Learning from his mistakes, Oliver decides to change his methods even while honouring his promises to his friend. Meanwhile a new enemy from his past resurfaces to make life difficult for Oliver.

    Having achieved true hero status - Oliver Queen faces new challenges with a foe who has come back from the dead. This time, he has help in the form a new hero/side kick and a lot of familiar faces.     Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With his right hand, John Diggle, back in the military and his sister Thea adamant about hanging up her vigilante hood as Speedy, Team Green Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity – but they’re no longer the only vigilantes in town. Green Arrow’s public defeat of Damien Darhk at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles rather than allies in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.

    When it first hit the screen I loved this show. It's rather bare knuckle, vigilante grittiness really broke the candy covered shell, that encases so many comic book hero's.

    Seasons 1 to 4 were a solid 9 out of 10... and each season after that was worse. I didn't even watch season 8. Couldn't bring myself to do it

    IF you only watch the first few seasons it's pretty good. It actually starts off decent enough, and had they kept on that track I'd give it 10 stars.

    But, unfortunately, it spiraled into CW trash pretty fast and what was once a decent and gritty superhero show ala Grell, it quickly turned into Sm...
